Can the vents and sounding be combined on the Tension Leg Platform (TLP)? Also, can vents and sounding pipes be routed through the access shaft?

Tank atmospheric vent can be combined with the sounding line provided it is acceptable for the Class that it is designed for.

Vents and sounding pipes can be routed inside pump rooms and piping routing must be designed and installed in accordance to good industry practice.

The vent and sounding pipings are necessary to vent hull tanks and void spaces and provide a means to sound such tanks.  All compartments in the hull should have a vent line and separate sounding line.  The vents and sounds should be located in the central shaft and penetrate the inner shell at the top and bottom of each compartment.
