Homogenous Multiphase Flow: Homogenous mixtures of liquid and gas containing relatively low fractions of gas at suction conditions.  Examples include heavy crudes and emulsion where small gas bubbles remain entrained after passing through separation.

Multiphase Flow: Either homogenous mixtures of liquid and gas containing large gas fractions at suction conditions or fluctuating fractions of liquid and gas that can vary anywhere between 100% liquid to 100% gas.
