Hello Geobar,  Please elaborate your question so that OGnition community can answer to your satisfaction. Are you looking for viscosity of any particular compound?

Can anyone lead me to a correlation of Viscosity of Hydrocarbon based on MW and Watson Characterization factor (K)?

PREDICTION OF KINEMATIC VISCOSITY AT 38 degC can be done using:

log ยต38 = 4.39371 - 1.94733 Kw + 0.12769 Kw*Kw + 3.2629 x 10-4 API2

- 1.18246 x 10-2 Kw API

(0.171617 Kw*Kw + 10.9943 API  + 9.50663 x 10-2 API2 - 0.860218 Kw API)

/ (API + 50.3642 - 4.78231 Kw)

Wilson K factor an be calculated using following equation: Kw = (1.8 Tb)1/3 / SG

Where:

Kw - Wilson K factor

Tb - normal boiling point in K

SG - specific gravity at 15.5 degC
