Main Header is the main lines, which receive relief and vent discharges from individual process unit headers or onsite knockout drums.  The main header terminates in the flare knockout drum.

Unit Header is the onshore term for the main vapor pressure relief line within a process unit battery limit.  Unit headers collect pressure relief valve vapor and/or gas loads from individual leads and/or laterals for discharge to the main header.
