What is/are material typically used in the industry for fireproofing vessels and internal of equipment?

Consider the below.

Sand (high silica sand) per ASTM C 33; limestone sand may be used only for services where there are absolutely no acid components or sour stocks.

Cement should be per ASTM C 150, with the cement type to be specified.

Reinforcement should be welded steel wire fabric and weldable carbon steel reinforcing bars.  The wire fabric may be self-furring and the reinforcing bars may be plain or deformed.
