A Safety Related Device (SRD) is defined as a device which prevents, or could cause a system to move outside its design limits.

Following are the example fo SRD:

  • Relief valves
  • Bursting discs
  • Thermal relief valves
  • Restriction orifices
  • Selected non-return valves
  • Manual valves
  • Water seals
