TEG dehydration contactor Pressure drop and Temperature increase

asked May 7, 2014 in Process by stevemc01 (430 points)
I am building a TEG dehydration contactor model using HYSYS. Is there a rule of thumb for contactor Pressure drop as well as gas temperature change (should increase!!)?

Glycol dehydration contactor should not exceed 0.5 bar pressure drop. Higher pressure drop could lead to liquid hydrocarbon precipitation. For specified Glycol inlet operating temperature, gas temperature should not increase by more than 3°C.
