The Damcos electro-hydraulic actuators can be used for hull marine systems remote control valves.

Self contained electro-hydraulic (E/H) actuators are often used for hull marine systems remote control valves (for ballast, bilge, stripping, and hull storage tanks transfer systems).

The electro-hydraulic actuator has several advantages such as compact design (the foot print is much smaller than pneumatic actuator as well as the manual override), proven design, eliminates the need for central valve control HPU and supply and return hydraulic tubing from the HPU/headers to each actuator, eliminate the watertight tubing penetrations. Eliminating the hydraulic tubing and bulkhead penetrations reduces the possibility of hydraulic oil leaks in the hull compartments. This actuator has Class type approval.

Damcos has been used and approved by many major companies' Approved Vendors List as approved manufacturer for hydraulic actuators.
