It is typical to design a dual carcass offloading hose instead of double carcass hose.

The past experience is based on offloading hose supplier experience who does not recommend to reel a double carcass hose. Double carcass hoses normally have a nipple type flange connection and if this hose is reeled on a hose reel there is a very high chance that the hose can be damaged due to stress concentration near flange. This will be made worse if MBC is also reeled along with hose. In case of dual carcass hose, nipple-less flanges are used and this design will suit for hose reel applications.
