asked Dec 16, 2014 in Commission by judyp (2,700 points)

Hi, I work for an engineering firm as a Naval Architect and the client requires that "Contractor" to provide all onshore technical support services required for the operation and maintenance of the FPSO that includes:

• Engineering support staff to manage any modification work initiated on the FPSO
• Marine support staff including naval architect and marine engineer

Do you know that I will be required to travel to where the country that will take place with Installation and Commissioning?

Most operating companies require a Naval Architect to be in country on a full time basis during the Installation and Commissioning phase.

On completion of the Installation and Commissioning phase there will be no requirement for a full time attendance in that country.
